Six teams will take part in the tournament representing Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
The Eurasian League is the first official competition held between teams representing the EAEU which received official support of FIBA. As part of the league, EAEU citizens are not considered as foreigners in any team, which is in accordance with the provisions on labor migration of the Union. Games are conducted on the touring system. The tournament will contribute to the development of relations between countries in sports field, particularly in basketball.
About the history of the tournament
Eurasian Basketball cup was held for the first time in Yerevan on 23th-26th February, 2018. Teams which were representing Armenia, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan took part in that tournament.
There was an agreement to reorganize EAL cup into Eurasian league. The idea was supported by the clubs and FIBA.

Yerevan will host a new basketball championship in season 2019/20.
A press-conference was held in Moscow, dedicated to the Eurasian league competition season 2019-2020.Since October, four of Eurasian Economic Union countries will fight for the title of winner. The participants of the tournament are : Arsenal (Tula, Russia), MBA (Moscow, Russia), Urartu Vivaro (Yerevan,Armenia), Aragats (Yerevan, Armenia), Barsy (Atyrau, Kazakhstan), Borisfen (Mogilev, Belarus).
